Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems & Network Operations Engineer for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP) in Hawaii.

You will deliver solutions for complex enterprise IT infrastructure, provide Tier I-II support, and work to secure and integrate information systems to support national readiness. Role requires 2+ years of related experience, SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques; hardware, software and equipment.
• Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure; voice / data systems architecture.
• Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, remote nodes, and various communications devices.
• Coordinate requirements with Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to resolve failures of interfaces and networks.
• Develop operating procedures and monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment.
• Must meet DoDM 8140 IAM I certification.
• Superb communication skills and ability to perform with minimal guidance.
• Location: On Customer Site with travel to other customer sites throughout Pacific AoR

Responsibilities

• Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
• Provides Tier I-II support for system and network operations to include configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise IT infrastructure
• Performs troubleshooting of servers, network devices, and operating systems
• Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements
• Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
• Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• Participates in special projects as required
