Job summary

The Building People Career Center is seeking a Systems/Junior Furniture Installer/Mover in Silver Spring, MD to support installation, relocation, repair, and inventory of modular office furniture. You will work under project leads and Space Planners to ensure installations are accurate, safe, and align with project requirements.

Responsibilities include following drawings, assisting with moves, maintaining warehouse organization, and delivering professional customer service in occupied offices.

• Read and follow installation drawings and specifications.
• Assist with office moves and workspace reconfiguration projects.
• Move furniture, crates, office equipment, and related materials safely.
• Coordinate with Space Planners and installation teams to complete workspace projects.
• Help maintain organized warehouse and staging areas.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures and furniture handling standards.
• Support furniture key and lock installation activities.
• Ensure installations are completed accurately and according to project requirements.
• Provide professional customer service while working within occupied office environments.

Job description

The Systems/Junior Furniture Installer/Mover supports furniture installation, reconfiguration, repair, relocation, and inventory activities. This position works under the direction of project leads and Space Planners to ensure furniture systems are installed, maintained, and reconfigured accurately and safely while providing excellent customer service.
