Job summary

Benchmark in Minnesota, Rochester, MN, is seeking a dedicated assembler for systems integration, subassembly, and final assembly. You will follow documented routings, verify kits, and perform hand soldering with attention to detail.

The role includes data entry, quality checks, and mentoring peers in a setup that values accuracy and safety. Eligible candidates typically have 1+ years in SI assembly, basic computer skills, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in basic SI assembly (new build lines, subassembly/final assembly).
• Demonstrate good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accesses appropriate paperwork and drawings for each job assignment.
• Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, and packages items per instructions.
• Uses appropriate mats and required tooling.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper performance.
• Works under close supervision with routings and process instructions.
• May assemble various systems integration subassemblies.
• Enter data into Process Feedback System and link subassemblies to final unit.
• Enter quantities into Operations Complete when required.
• Maintain quality to meet customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators.
• Build subassemblies and apply labels per instructions.
• Perform hand solder and inspection operations for systems integration.
• Perform F-cert function to ensure final units pass all operations.
• Perform final inspection for defects and wipe down as needed.
• Add user manuals, accessory packs, cables, and labels as required.
• Assist manufacturing engineering in prototype/pre-production builds.
• Use routings under moderate supervision.
• Mentor other co-workers in assembly activities.
