Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc is hiring for a Minnesota-based systems assembly role in Rochester. You will prepare products for systems level assembly, unpack, set up, assemble, and perform final packaging and repair as required.

The role emphasizes quality, documentation, and adherence to documented instructions in a fast-paced, shift-based environment. The position is safety-sensitive with a 0530–1600 shift, Monday to Thursday, full-time.

• 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly.
• Good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Access paperwork and drawings for each job assignment.
• Verify kits, enter batch lot information, package and label items.
• Use required mats and tooling.
• Check equipment for proper performance.
• Follow routings and instructions under supervision.
• May assemble systems integration subassemblies.
• Notify leadership of any shutdowns.
• Enter data into Process Feedback System and link subassemblies.
• Enter quantities into Operations Complete.
• Maintain quality to meet customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators.
• Build subassemblies and follow drawings.
• Perform hand soldering and inspection per instructions.
• Perform final inspection and wipe down as needed.
• Add manuals, cables, and labels per instructions.
• Assist manufacturing engineering in prototypes.
• Mentor coworkers in assembly activities.
