Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Rochester, MN seeks an entry-level manufacturing assembler to prepare products for systems level assembly, perform subassembly tasks, and ensure quality throughout the process.

You will work on 05:30-16:00 shifts (Mon-Thu) in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy and teamwork. The role requires basic SI assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly or equivalent.
• Good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment.
• Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, package and label accessory items according to documented instructions.
• Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper performance.
• Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision.
• May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies.
• Notifies leadership of any shut down situations.
• Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and links subassemblies to final unit.
• Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
• All employees are responsible for the quality of their work.
• Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators.
• Build subassemblies and add labels per instructions.
• Perform systems integration hand solder and inspection operations.
• Perform F-cert function to ensure final units pass all operations.
• Perform final inspection for defects and wipe down as needed.
• Add user manuals, cables, labels, etc.
• May assist manufacturing engineering in prototypes/pre-production builds.
• Mentor other co-workers in assembly activities.
