Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Bristol, PA seeks a Manager, Systems Engineering to lead a team delivering airborne telemetry, RF, secure communications, and embedded flight safety systems. You will drive requirements management, system integration, verification and validation, and technical reviews across programs to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years related experience (or graduate degree with 7+ years), at least 4 years in engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with ≥9 years related experience, or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years in engineering leadership.
Minimum 5 years in aerospace/defense systems engineering.
Minimum 4 years of requirements development, allocation, traceability, interface definition, configuration control, and V&V planning.
Minimum 4 years of experience leading or supporting formal engineering reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and manage a systems engineering team with staffing and performance management.
Direct systems engineering activities across requirements development, decomposition, allocation, traceability, interface definition, and technical baseline management.
Oversee system integration, verification, validation, qualification planning, risk management, and lifecycle engineering from development to delivery.
Lead or support formal technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
Promote disciplined engineering execution through standard work and documentation quality.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
Forecast workforce needs and resource planning across programs; provide BOE inputs.
Communicate progress, risks, and performance to leadership using metrics and data analysis.
Support MBSE adoption, digital engineering, and data visibility.
