Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO is seeking a Systems Test Engineer – Level 2 or 3. The role develops test plans and coordinates testing activities, requiring TS/SCI clearance and a relevant engineering degree with experience in ground system software deployment.

The position is onsite with no remote work option, and levels may vary by qualifications. Preferred certifications and MBSE knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years with a Master’s degree.
• An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with ground system software deployment, integration and testing in complex cloud-based environments.
• Understanding of requirements decomposition, verification activity planning and execution.
• Ability to collaborate with software development teams to ensure understanding, reproduction steps, resolution approach.
• Ability to proactively identify software issues, perform troubleshooting and root cause investigation.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash), Git, containerization (Kubernetes, Helm), and Java.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize customer needs into system test solutions within technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans and schedules.
• Coordinate integrated testing activities and review test requirements for completeness.
• Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare system-level evaluations.
