Job summary

Oceaneering in Hanover, Maryland, seeks a Systems Engineer/SEDB Administrator to maintain and update the requirements management database and ensure its performance. You will support metadata management, schema development, and system security while collaborating with System Engineers on operations documentation and DoDAF-based architectures.

You will serve as SME for SYSML/UML modeling, manage user permissions, and drive workflow automation and database upgrades across divisions in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/Systems Eng/IT/Naval Eng; experience may substitute.
• Strong knowledge of MS 365 products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Understanding of requirements management principles and DoDAF/SOA concepts.
• Experience with 3SL Cradle or Jama Connect and configuring data queries and workflows.
• 1–5 years in creating system docs and requirements management.
• 1–5 years with SEDB tools; Jama-Connect preferred.
• Working knowledge of other SEDB tools (Cameo, DOORS).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, performance, and update the requirements management database.
• Metadata management and repository utilization.
• Assist other System Engineers with schema development and automation.
• Develop system engineering documentation: concepts of operations, requirements specs, RVTM, interfaces.
• Provide SME on SYSML and UML modeling.
• Create user profiles and manage permissions for security.
• Configure and maintain project schemas and queries.
• Improve workflows through automation and custom development.
• Install/upgrade SEDB server and client installations.
• Monitor licensing, usage, and vendor compliance.
• Coordinate system upgrades across divisions and IT groups.
• Perform additional System Engineering duties as assigned.
