Job summary

Dalcom Engineering is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support mission-focused R&D and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army, based at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities include leading MBSE-driven architecture work, system integration, and documentation using SysML and MagicDraw, with adherence to MOSA and DoD standards. A TS/SCI clearance and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools (MagicDraw and SysML) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with DoD standards and modular open systems approaches.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prepare technical documentation and presentations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of software, web, and hardware systems from specifications to rollout and maintenance.
• Integrate network OS, applications, and hardware to create cohesive solutions.
• Apply MBSE methodologies and tools to develop and document architectures.
• Ensure modular, scalable, interoperable, maintainable designs per MOSA and DoD standards.
• Conduct technical trade studies, reviews, and interface mapping for interoperability and compliance.
• Translate interoperability visions into practical, standards-based designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage specs, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical documentation and architectural viewpoints to support ISP.
