Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security seeks a Systems Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to support the GuSSC program in Hill AFB, UT or Layton, UT. The role focuses on NH&S within Minuteman III guidance, flight controls, and battery systems, with emphasis on radiation hardness and survivability.

Responsibilities include test planning, design evaluation, risk reporting, and collaboration with program leadership. Opportunities for mentoring and cross-functional work are available in a dynamic defense

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent related field.
  • Level 2 requires 2+ years of related work experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent; Level 3 requires 5+ years with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide NH&S sustaining and design engineering support for NS50 guidance, controls, and battery systems.
  • Lead radiation testing: plan and execute SEE, TID, and DDD tests.
  • Review electrical schematics and BOMs to identify risk and improve hardness.
  • Present test results and failure analyses to engineering and leadership.
  • Support NS50 Hardness Surveillance Program and related investigations.
  • Assist in surveillance planning, results assessment, and anomaly investigations.
  • Support NH&S engineering for new business initiatives and respond to RFI/RFPs.
  • Mentor engineers and customers in hostile radiation environments.
  • Participate in program reviews and technical forums.
