Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support the MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems at Patuxent River, MD. You will function as the Deputy for the Engineering Lead, integrating mission systems and evaluating performance and acquisition risks throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires DoD/Naval aviation experience, strong systems integration skills, and the ability to prepare and review technical documentation.

Qualifications

Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
At least seven years of recent and relevant experience in a related engineering role.
Experience with acoustic sensor systems, radar, FLIR/EOIR is highly preferred.
DoD/Naval Aviation environment background strongly valued.
Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

Apply systems engineering to integration, change proposals, airworthiness, configuration management, and risk management.
Review and prepare technical analyses, reports, and documentation for SE events.
Prepare ECPs and technical documents for SETRs and lead SETR events as required.
Support EDRAPs, airworthiness actions, flight clearance processes, and SOW/CDRL development.
Address acoustics/sensor system challenges (ALFS, DMAD, MTS, FLIR) and stakeholder requirements.
Summarize data for technical reports and briefings; facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
