Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Journeyman Systems Engineer for the H-60 PMA 299 at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD. On-site support to the Mission Systems IPT for MH-60R/S sensor systems, including acoustics, radar, FLIR/EO-IR, and related acquisition risks through the full lifecycle.

The role emphasizes integration, documentation, risk assessment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders in a DoD environment. Travel ~2 weeks/year.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
• Seven+ years of relevant experience.
• Degree in a technical or scientific field.
• Experience with acoustics or sensor systems preferred.
• Experience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, specifications, and risk assessments.
• Strong background in systems integration within a DoD or Naval Aviation environment.
• Experience with RADAR, FLIR and Electro-Optical/Infra-Red systems is preferred.
• Mine-Countermeasures experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering to integration, changes, airworthiness, CM, and risk management.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, and technical documentation.
• Prepare and process ECPs and documentation for SETR events.
• Lead SETR events and support ED RAPs and airworthiness actions.
• Develop SOWs and CDRLs; coordinate across IPTs and contractors.
• Gather and manage technical requirements from stakeholders for project alignment.
• Summarize data and findings for technical documents and briefings.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among teams and agencies.
