Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Experienced Engineer - Systems to develop and test shipboard electrical/electronic systems at the Groton shipyard. You will contribute across concept through deployment, interfacing with Navy, shipyards, and suppliers, and travel to remote locations as needed.

The role requires a BS/MS in engineering and 5+ years of experience, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Systems, etc.).
• 5+ years of post graduate professional engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support development, instrumentation, and testing of shipboard electrical/electronic systems.
• Create detailed design documents, test procedures, and technical work products.
• Engage with shipyard testing, suppliers, NAVSEA, and other stakeholders.
• Travel to remote locations and support weekend/backshifts when needed.
• Perform problem resolution and design error correction as part of end-to-end development.
