Job summary

Torch Technologies, based in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks an analytical Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling & Simulation System Integration team.

You will analyze test data, define architecture, and collaborate with software teams to automate data handling and improve tool chains for secure, efficient operations. A DoD background, STEM degree, and active clearance are required for this full-time, on-site role in Huntsville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of systems engineering or DoD-related work.
• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• Experience with modeling & simulation tools and data analysis.
• Ability to develop CONOPS, requirements, and test cases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test data and criteria to ensure modeling accuracy and effectiveness.
• Define high‑level architecture for integrated MDA modeling & simulation systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for modernization in workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data analysts for system integration.
• Develop automation requirements for hardware asset management and travel coordination.
• Document architectures, methodologies, and evaluation results for leadership.
