Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a software engineering professional to define technical requirements and engineering standards for enhancements, new projects, and initiatives within the Mueller Design System. The role includes participating in UAT, understanding steel/structural design, and supporting productivity and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with IT, Design, Drafting, and Manufacturing, design tests, document changes, and help modernize legacy systems while balancing

Qualifications

• 2+ years building design experience or related field.
• 5+ years in software development and systems engineering; 1+ year in a senior or lead role.
• Experience in metal buildings or construction is a plus.
• Strong programming skills in C# and C++.
• Database expertise with SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement technical solutions within the Mueller Design System to expand capabilities.
• Analyze engineering workflows to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate engineering requirements into software functionalities.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to integrate software with enterprise systems.
• Act as liaison between end-users and developers to communicate system needs, challenges, and improvements.
• Coordinate with Technical Services, IT, Design, Drafting, and Manufacturing for alignment with business and engineering needs.
• Design, execute, and document testing procedures for new features, bug fixes, and system updates.
• Document software design decisions and codebase changes to facilitate future maintenance.
• Provide technical insight and feedback on proposed engineering changes and system developments.
