Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Systems Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will evaluate and update Navy ALRE requirements and adapt them for design and foreign customer needs.

Responsibilities include systems analysis, requirements management using Cameo/CATIA/DOORS, and leading verification, validation, and customer-facing activities. Requires engineering degree and DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in engineering or related field.
• Progressive engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate teams and projects.
• DoD security clearance is required (ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analyses using systems engineering to develop, fabricate, test, and integrate systems.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Use MBSE tools to support requirements development and specifications.
• Generate system, sub-system, component, and software requirements.
• Lead verification and validation efforts with Test teams.
• Possess prime technical contact experience on small contracts.
• Support program plans, estimates, and schedules.
• Develop test plans and manage integration and qualification testing.
• Prepare design reviews and present to customers.
• Direct activities of design staff or junior professionals.
• Observe laws, regulations and company obligations.
• Work safely following established procedures.
