Job summary

General Atomics is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide cross-program engineering support across laser, space, and payload systems. You will contribute to design, development, integration, and test activities within a robust MBSE environment.

The role emphasizes SysML modeling, requirements management with DOORS, and collaboration with multiple IPTs, vendors, and customers across defense programs. Security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field.
• Demonstrates technical expertise and application of engineering principles.
• Ability to organize, plan, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to support multiple technology areas and rotate between programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering support across programs from design to test phases.
• Support MBSE and DOORS documentation and requirements traceability.
• Develop SysML diagrams and artifacts in an MBSE environment.
• Prepare verification plans, procedures, and test reports.
• Interface with customers during shaping, ConOps, and requirements activities.
