Job summary

Bachem Americas is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. This role installs, configures, tests, monitors, and maintains OS and application software, while providing Help Desk support across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, ticket ownership, device and account administration, and contributing to the knowledgebase. The position requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment with after-hours support as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline.
• 1+ years in systems engineering or 5-6 years as systems administrator in a multi-site environment.
• Ability to organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Proven experience managing virtual hosting environments, disk storage, and Microsoft client/server systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve computer issues including hardware, software, basic networking, printers.
• Be single point of contact throughout the lifecycle of a ticket; communicate status to users.
• Work with IT teams to resolve or escalate problems.
• Provide basic and extended support for software, hardware, peripherals, and network access.
• Perform updates and preventive maintenance on all system and network components.
• Monitor Helpdesk queue for support requests.
• Provide administration of accounts and passwords.
• Contribute to the knowledgebase.
• Ensure GMP CFR Part 11 compliance as per organization guidelines.
• Manage and execute small to midsize IT projects.
