Job summary

RTX's Advanced Airborne RF Sensors team in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, integrate and test radar and electronic warfare solutions. The role involves collaboration across disciplines, MBSE and Agile product development to deliver dependable systems on the product lifecycle.

This onsite position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers, perform tests in lab and field, and contribute to security-clearance dependent programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), such as Electrical Engineering, obtained prior to start.
• Experience with tools, such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design.
• Create or modify electronic warfare signal processing and control algorithms.
• Develop and execute test plans, including test simulations and lab tests to verify system capability.
• Evaluate and assess functional performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, and firmware/control algorithms.
• Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Troubleshoot Test activities in our labs and in the field.
• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment.
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
• Maintain engineering specifications and drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs)
• Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, working group meetings.
• Support associated with implementing process requirements.
