Job summary

RTX is seeking candidates for onsite roles at our Tucson facility to work on aerospace and defense projects requiring a DoD Secret clearance. This position emphasizes sustaining engineering, depot operations, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural domains.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
  • Experience or coursework in System Design.
  • Experience with depot functions and/or logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Synchronize depot functions including receiving/induction, spares provisioning, repairs, plant clearance, sales, and shipping.
  • Provide sustainment engineering support for developmental and legacy programs to achieve long-term product sustainment strategies and planning.
  • Act as a liaison with all engineering disciplines, such as Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Materials and Processes, and Structural design functions.
  • Assist with supportability analyses and provide inventory recommendations, including but not limited to spares recommendations, excess scrap, and parts and materials substitutions as necessary.
  • Collaborate across factory and logistics teams to resolve shipping backlogs.
  • Coordinate with Depot Coordinator and Operations to facilitate factory hardware repair work.
  • Engagement in peer reviews, program reviews, design reviews, failure review boards, investigation teams, warranty claims and working groups.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.


This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have


  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

  • Experience or coursework in System Design.

  • Experience with depot functions and /or logistics.

  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.



Qualifications We Prefer


  • Ability to review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards

  • Ability to identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of ILS processes, including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts.

  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience.

Relocation Eligibility


The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
