What You Will Do

At Collins Aerospace, you’ll have the opportunity to work on mission-critical communication solutions that support national defense and strategic nuclear deterrence.

As a Systems Engineer II within Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS) - Survivable Airborne Operation Center (SAOC) System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems, develop your technical skills, and contribute to systems that help keep our nation safe.

You’ll support the development and delivery of advanced communication solutions that address critical customer and mission needs. We’ll provide the training, tools, and mentorship you need to succeed.

This is an onsite role located in Richardson, TX.

Perform in a cross-functional agile team.

Work in close coordination with a mentor using Collins Aerospace engineering processes. Creation, decomposition, and tracing requirements for communications systems on military platforms, both air and ground applications.

Work with a model-based systems engineering application to create logical and physical design diagrams.

Perform integration and testing for these communications solutions.

Support future bids and proposals providing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience in systems or software engineering including capturing customer requirements, operations concept development, or deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar resources using SysML.
• Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving system/sub-system requirements.
• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
• Experience in system/sub-system design definition.
• Experience with Agile development.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
