Collins Aerospace in Richardson, TX is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the SDS SAOC SEIT team, focusing on mission-critical communications for national defense. You will work with experienced engineers to develop and test complex systems, applying model-based engineering and rigorous requirements management.

This onsite role offers mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to future bids and proposals, with a strong emphasis on MBSE, SysML, and agile

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience in systems or software engineering including capturing customer requirements, operations concept development, or deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

What You Will Do

At Collins Aerospace, you’ll have the opportunity to work on mission‑critical communication solutions that support national defense and strategic nuclear deterrence. As a Systems Engineer II within Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS) – Survivable Airborne Operation Center (SAOC) System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems, develop your technical skills, and contribute to systems that help keep our nation safe.

You’ll support the development and delivery of advanced communication solutions that address critical customer and mission needs. We’ll provide the training, tools, and mentorship you need to succeed. This is an onsite role located in Richardson, TX.

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar resources using SysML.
• Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving system/sub‑system requirements.
• Experience with Model‑Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
• Experience in system/sub‑system design definition.
• Experience with Agile development.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
