Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and develop military products ensuring safe and protected communications. You will interface with multi-discipline teams to deliver total system solutions for domestic and international customers.

You’ll work on requirements decomposition, verification, and system-level analyses while coordinating with other engineers and program managers to meet mission needs. Onsite role with strong security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience with systems development process: requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification/validation, and transition to production.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree with 5+ years OR 12 years with no degree.

What You Will Do

• Perform analysis's, architecture and design at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Perform functional analysis's, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Provide analyses for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develops verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions.
• Lead a Systems Engineering Development Effort, Including delegation and mentorship with junior engineers.
• Perform bid and proposal efforts.

You Must Have Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production. Experience with tools such as DOORS, CAMEO or similar, Software Languages such as Rust and Python. Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
