Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2 to join our Marine Systems team in Ocean Springs, MS. The role involves translating requirements into total system solutions and supporting MBSE efforts for launcher hardware projects on Navy platforms. Key qualifications include a STEM degree with experience reading technical drawings, requirements management, and familiarity with DOORS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with 0 years.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First-hand experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents (e.g., VCRM, interface control).
• Experience with system engineering tools such as IBM Rational DOORS.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation.
• Convert customer requirements into hardware/software specifications within cost/schedule constraints.
• Conduct functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definitions.
• Create and update system/sub-system specifications and DOORS artifacts.
• Update system drawings and documents like ICDs and arrangement drawings.
• Lead/participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR reviews and MBSE products.
