Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer II in the United States, with hybrid work options and occasional travel. You will build on foundational skills in requirements engineering, V&V, and MBSE, conducting system analyses and risk management with supervision.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop lifecycle solutions and drive project tasks to support DoD and national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 2+ years of systems engineering experience or related field.
• Experience with requirements management, V&V principles, and MBSE.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Familiarity with systems modeling tools and general engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, derive, and allocate software and system requirements from customer requirements or SRD.
• Trace requirements through the development lifecycle with PM and Test teams.
• Assist with design documentation like ICDs and architecture documents.
• Prepare and participate in Engineering Gates (PDR/CDR/TRR).
• Maintain and improve engineering processes during programs.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors to resolve technical RFIs.
