Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Systems Engineer III to advance requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE. You will lead system analyses, technical planning, and risk management while mentoring junior engineers.

The role supports Mission Solutions and Technologies in defense and security projects across air, land, sea, space and cyber, with a hybrid work model and travel as needed. A U.S. security clearance is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and V&V principles.

Responsibilities

• Handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.
• Take on significant project responsibilities and guide junior engineers.
• Demonstrate expertise in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively to drive project success.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
