Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer II to build on foundational skills in requirements engineering, MBSE, V&V, and systems integration. The role involves technical planning, risk management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.

You will contribute to architecture/design development and lifecycle management while interfacing with stakeholders across DoD, DHS, and international customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
• Conduct system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management with minimal supervision.
• Lead smaller project tasks and support larger project components.
• Apply working knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Develop solutions and support organizational objectives.
