Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Systems Engineer to own enterprise platforms end-to-end. You’ll design, implement, and optimize configurations, integrations, and code across Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, and custom tooling.

The role emphasizes AI-powered features, partnerships with TS leaders, and improvements that scale with 1,200+ technical experts. You’ll work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with enterprise platforms and production software.
• Experience administering, extending, or integrating systems like Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, or similar.
• Built software that real users depend on (web services, APIs, data pipelines, or applications).
• Fluent with AI coding tools such as Copilot, Claude, or similar daily.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise systems through their full lifecycle and be the technical owner of platforms TS relies on.
• Engineer solutions, including configurations, integrations, or code, to move the needle.
• Contribute to the company codebase for TS features and tooling in collaboration with Engineering teams.
• Use AI to speed work, design better workflows, and enable teammates to adopt AI practices.
• Partner with TS leaders to diagnose problems and engineer practical, adopted fixes.
• Monitor and iterate on production systems to ensure reliability and maintainability.
