Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our systems infrastructure across hardware and software. You will collaborate with Technical Architects to design and improve our enterprise environment.

The role requires 5+ years of server technology experience, strong communication, and deep knowledge of cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) plus IAM and directory services. OD offers robust benefits and a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience working with cloud services: Azure, Google Cloud, AWS
• Knowledge of storage architecture and virtualization
• Experience using Visio or other documentation tools
• Ability to work cross-functionally across teams

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems infrastructure including hardware and software
• Monitor systems performance and recommend changes and upgrades based on utilization
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to systems
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to assist with systems design
• Assist in implementing systems infrastructure
• Provide support to OD users for systems needs
• Support server hardware infrastructure across multiple platforms
• Troubleshoot and diagnose enterprise systems issues
• Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in architecture
• Administer and support Active Directory environments
• Manage Okta Identity Cloud
• Administer Google Cloud Identity and IAM services
• Administer AWS IAM users, roles, policies and access controls
• Enforce IAM security standards and best practices
• Remediate security findings related to identity platforms
