Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer II to maintain on‑premises and cloud infrastructure with an automation‑first mindset. The role emphasizes strong customer service, rapid skill acquisition, and cross‑team collaboration across technology groups.

The ideal candidate will handle change effectively and share knowledge across stakeholders. You will participate in project planning, implement infrastructure as code, and support on‑call rotations onsite in Overland Park, Kansas.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
• 3+ years in Windows Server administration and operations.
• 3+ years Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years in production datacenter environments.
• 1+ years deploying/administrating production systems in AWS.
• 1+ years Linux experience in production.
• Experience patching/administration in VMware environments.
• Experience with systems monitoring solutions.
• Ability to automate tasks via PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for Support Services to resolve Systems tickets in Jira.
• Deploy and maintain cloud and on‑premises systems using Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Troubleshoot escalated technical issues of affected equipment.
• Collaborate with Technology teams and 3rd party vendors.
• Participate in technical project planning and milestone tracking.
• Provide peer review for change requests against standards.
• Prioritize triage issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop automations to improve engineer and user efficiency.
• Follow change, incident, access and problem management policies.
• Develop technical processes and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and on‑site presence as needed.
