Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage our IT infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and scalable solutions. You will drive automation, lead projects, and collaborate with teams and vendors.

The role requires deep Windows server, AD, VMware, and cloud experience, strong communication, and a proactive mindset. On-call rotation and on-site work are expected to support our growing enterprise.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
• 5+ years of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of automation of tasks via PowerShell and SCCM.
• 5+ years of VMware patching and administration; 2+ years deploying and administering production systems in AWS.
• Deep understanding of data center architecture and Windows Server.
• Experience with Citrix and RemoteApp is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud technologies and on-premises systems with IaC.
• Lead troubleshooting to resolve escalated issues.
• Collaborate with Technology teams and 3rd-party vendors.
• Plan and manage technical projects with milestones and timelines.
• Review changes for technical standards and security.
• Perform root cause analysis and triage issues.
• Develop and document operational processes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide on-site support as needed.
