Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Fulton, MD is seeking students and engineers to contribute to command-and-control software and sensor fusion projects on-site. The role encompasses full life cycle systems engineering, architecture, testing, and deployment of advanced aerospace software solutions for government and commercial customers.

You will work with experts on Multi-Sensor/Information Fusion and Visualization, gaining hands-on experience in Linux/Windows environments, software testing, and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering or a STEM major obtained by start date.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link, C2, Surveillance/Radars, ATC, Mission Planning, Missile/Shipboard Combat Systems.
• Knowledge of software testing across Linux, Windows, VMs, and Containers.
• Experience as an intern or summer hire for a DoD contractor.

Responsibilities

• Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, architecture, trade studies, integration, V&V, testing, and software installation.
• Design, develop and test advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to solve critical technical problems with innovative solutions.
