Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&T C) Surface Radars & Sensors Center in Portsmouth, RI is seeking Systems Engineers with an interest in ocean or radar systems. Our Portsmouth team supports naval programs across the undersea and surface domains, including sensor systems and ship integration.

You will perform requirements development, system integration, test planning, troubleshooting, and verification to ensure customer needs are met.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and hands-on experience in system software and hardware.
• Experience with requirement analysis and lab-based verification.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, and digital engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Translate technical inputs into clear, actionable system requirements.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate on software/hardware integration and cross-discipline solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and customer sell-off activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to support events.
