Job summary

Terrestrial Energy, a US developer of advanced, Generation IV nuclear reactors, seeks a Safety Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead and grow our safety analysis team for IMSR deployment. You will direct deterministic and probabilistic analyses, support licensing, and coordinate with design and licensing groups to demonstrate inherent safety of the reactor.

You will recruit, mentor and manage safety engineers, establish standards, and ensure regulatory compliance across NRC/DOE/CNSC frameworks, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear safety analysis.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with regulatory licensing processes (NRC, CNSC, or DOE).
• Proven track record leading safety analysis programs for nuclear facilities.
• Experience with US NRC, DOE, or Canadian CNSC licensing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Safety Analysis Engineers, Analysts, and Specialists.
• Oversee deterministic and probabilistic safety analyses for IMSR design.
• Prepare safety analysis chapters for licensing documentation (PSAR/FSAR).
• Direct development of DOE-required safety analyses to DOE-STD-3009.
• Ensure integration of safety analyses across engineering teams.
• Maintain QA documentation and safety analysis procedures.
