Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA, seeks an experienced systems engineer to join an agile, multi‑team environment. You will help design, test, and validate complex space systems, integrating hardware and software to deliver mission-ready capabilities.

Candidates should have strong experience in requirements development, system integration, and verification, with exposure to cloud platforms and modern development tools. A TS/SCI clearance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Recent on-program Systems Engineering experience (requirements development, system test planning/execution, requirements analysis and verification, integration).
• Applying systems engineering principles, concepts, and methods.
• System integration, verification, and validation experience.
• Experience on large-scale, agile software projects with multiple teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, GCP) and IT systems.
• Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

As an engineer on an Agile Scrum Team, you will have the opportunity to rapidly develop and deploy solutions for a complex space system following core engineering principles, ultimately enabling the delivery of fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• Recent on-program Systems Engineering experience (e.g., requirements development, systems test planning/execution, requirements analysis and verification, integration, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with applying systems engineering principles, concepts, and methods
• Demonstrated experience with system integration, verification, and validation
• Experience working on large-scale, agile software projects with multiple teams and stakeholders
• No clearance needed to start but must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills

• Develop and implement system test plans, procedures, and protocols
• Support the integration, verification, and validation of systems and subsystems
• Develop and maintain system architecture, design, and performance requirements in an Agile environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00
