Job summary

VTG is seeking a Mid to Senior Systems Engineer for the CPS program based in Washington, DC. The role is onsite with occasional telework, supporting multiple engineering disciplines and interfacing with government and defense partners.

Strong requirements analysis, risk assessment, and documentation support are essential. Ideal candidates will have deep experience in systems engineering, configuration management, and proficiency with CAD tools like AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following for Mid/Jouney level: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience, OR a master’s degree and at least 2 years of experience, OR 8+ years in the task area.
• Must have one of the following for Senior level: a bachelor’s degree and 11 years of experience, OR a master’s degree and 10+ years of experience.
• US Citizen required and familiarity with MS Office and CM practices.

Responsibilities

• Design studies and evaluations for R&D, production and operations.
• Provide technical advice to CPS program office on documentation submissions.
• Support risk assessments and modeling/simulation for complex systems.
• Prepare presentations and papers for technical reviews and program management.
• Coordinate with CPS stakeholders and government teams as needed.
