Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Washington, DC Navy Yard seeks a Mid to Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer to provide engineering support to the CPS program. Position is mostly onsite with occasional telework, supporting mechanical, electrical, systems and flight software disciplines while delivering strategic guidance to the team.

The role requires leading test planning, TEMP development, testing and reporting, with travel up to 25% CONUS and an active Secret clearance for US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and years of professional engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Experience in CFD, FEA, 6DoF trajectory calculations, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD for engineering tasks.
• Ability to travel up to 25% within CONUS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware and software testing, modeling, and flight testing.
• Assist in creating TEMP, verification/validation plans, safety packages and test briefs.
• Support end-to-end test cycle from planning to reporting and analysis.
• Contribute to subsystem and system level testing and capability validation plans.
• Prepare studies and deliver monthly scientific/technical reports and document revisions.
