Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Washington, DC seeks a Mid/Journeyman to Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering support for the CPS Program at the Navy Yard, with occasional telework.

The role covers design studies, technical reviews, risk assessment, and program office liaison across multiple engineering disciplines. Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required; MS Office literacy is essential.

Qualifications

• Mid/Jouneyman requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or a master’s with 2+ years, or 8+ years in the task area.
• Senior requires a bachelor’s degree with 11 years or a master’s with 10 years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required and must be sustain-able.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must understand Electrical/Mechanical Design, Navigation, Guidance and Control, Telemetry, Flight Software, Re-entry hardware and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design studies and evaluations for R&D, production, and operations.
• Review technical submissions and provide advice to CPS program office.
• Support system engineering analysis to meet technical requirements.
• Perform risk assessments using modeling and simulation.
• Prepare technical presentations and briefings for design reviews.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
