Job summary

• Support the Regional Office Queue Management System, including troubleshooting, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Monitor system functionality and performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions to ensure reliable service delivery.

Job Description And Duties

Do you enjoy supporting technology that keeps critical business operations running smoothly? Are you motivated by problem-solving, system reliability, and helping users through effective technical support? The Infrastructure Management Unit in the Technology Infrastructure Services Branch is seeking a skilled and customer-focused professional to support CalPERS technology services that directly impact Contact Center and Regional Office operations.

This position will serve as a technical resource for running and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery and Mapping. In addition, supporting the Contact Center Application Suite and the Regional Offices Application Suite. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to maintain secure, reliable, and effective systems. This role requires experience with enterprise application support, systems administration, troubleshooting, and technical project assistance in a complex environment.

Duties

• Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping, including identifying, reconciling, and updating configuration items; validating application and infrastructure relationships; investigating data inconsistencies; and ensuring CMDB accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
• Administer and support the Call Center application, including technical support, troubleshooting, issue monitoring and resolution, routine maintenance, system testing, and implementation of enhancements.
• Provide technical support for the Regional Office Queue Management System, including troubleshooting, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance, system enhancements, and support for annual disaster recovery exercises.
• Monitor system functionality and performance, identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate resolution of application issues and service disruptions to help ensure reliable service delivery.

Telework Information

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025).
