Job summary

StarTech Computing in Red Wing, MN delivers, supports and maintains IT solutions for both new and existing customers. The role requires visiting customer sites within roughly a 60-mile radius of Red Wing, MN and Hudson, WI, and collaborating with teammates to manage escalated tickets.

The position is full-time and in-person with travel to nearby locations, Monday to Friday with rotating on-call coverage. The salary range is $52,000 to $73,000 per year, with bonus opportunities and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visit customer sites within ~60 miles of Red Wing, MN and Hudson, WI.
• Home internet access and a mobile phone are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and operate with limited supervision.
• Minimum of a two-year technical program, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one relevant certification, MSCA or MCSE preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of Microsoft 365 service design, deployment, and administration.
• Preferred experience with SonicWALL firewalls and security services.
• Preferred familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Preferred exposure to UniFi wireless equipment and network switches.
• Preferred PowerShell scripting experience.
• Preferred experience with ConnectWise Automate, Control, and Manage.

Responsibilities

• We deliver, support, and maintain IT solutions for both new and existing customers.
• We help teammates make sound technical decisions and manage escalated support tickets.
• We become subject matter experts in one or more service stack areas.
• We contribute to the creation of company standards for the solutions we provide.
• We respond to customers and fellow engineering staff in a prompt, service-focused manner.
• We design, build, deploy, and maintain IT environments across security and disaster recovery, Active Directory, Windows servers and endpoints, and networking equipment.
• We complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• We own and manage customer projects and issues from start to finish.
• We keep accurate and concise time entries in line with our service standards.
• We maintain project plans and documentation for system builds and changes.
• We help develop internal standards for deploying IT solutions.
• We conduct network assessments and gather solution requirements for prospective customers.
