Job summary

Job description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust systems and services in cloud-based and on-premises computing environments
• Implement software engineering best practices and ensure system performance and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Develop, implement, and support systems and services for robust and reliable operations
• Execute project tasks for systems and applications, optimizing efficiency and functionality
• Manage upgrades, migrations, optimizations, and new implementations; resolve efficiency issues
• Write scripts, templates, interfaces, and utility applications to improve functionality and automate processes
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and document new and enhanced systems and processes
• Provide level three support for areas of expertise
• Design, configure, and script custom workflows, enhancements, and data models within ServiceNow SAM Pro/Enterprise
• Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and discovery patterns using tools such as ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, and Jamf
• Engineer automated reconciliation frameworks and entitlement schemas for vendor licensing models
• Establish ITAM data governance and build compliance dashboards, reports, and KPIs using ServiceNow reporting and Performance Analytics

Requirements

• Experience with infrastructure/systems lifecycle methodology and scripting as appropriate for area of expertise
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure
• Understanding of software engineering practices, including CI/CD and automation
• Knowledge of security best practices for system operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies
• Strong background in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and system integrations
• Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
• Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM)
• Experience translating major publisher licensing rules (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, AWS) into technical platform logic
