Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide operational support for our infrastructure, including managing daily tasks, migrations, and maintaining system stability. The role requires independence and the ability to work within a team.

The ideal candidate has 5-7+ years in systems/infrastructure support, with strong Microsoft 365 and VMware skills, and a willingness to travel 1–2 weeks mainly in Jan/Feb. This is a remote position with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in systems and infrastructure support.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange).
• Knowledge of VMware troubleshooting and console access.
• Strong AD, file services, DNS, DHCP knowledge.
• Understanding of backup methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support by managing tickets through ServiceNow.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange.
• Perform VMware troubleshooting and access virtual machine consoles.
• Manage Active Directory, file shares, DNS, and DHCP.
• Handle server patching and maintenance windows.
• Support backup methodologies and perform restores as needed.
• Participate in acquisition and migration projects, including user migrations up to 600 users.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for documentation and project tracking.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, approx. one week every seven weeks.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide operational support for our infrastructure. This role involves managing daily tasks, participating in acquisition-related migration projects, and ensuring the stability of our systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starting professional with a broad technical skillset, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support by managing tickets through ServiceNow.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange.
• Perform VMware troubleshooting and access virtual machine consoles in an environment with over 700 virtual servers.
• Manage Active Directory, file shares, DNS, and DHCP.
• Handle server patching and maintenance windows.
• Support backup methodologies and perform restores as needed.
• Participate in acquisition and migration projects, including user migrations of up to 600 users.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for documentation and project tracking.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, approximately one week every seven weeks.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in systems and infrastructure support.

Technical Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure is considered a plus.
