Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Maryland's Jessup area is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to design and operate automated, scalable infrastructure for Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC).

You will partner with principal engineers, software and security teams to translate complex compliance requirements into robust infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security at global scale. Experience with automation and strong scripting is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in development/programming/scripting
• Experience with automation and version control tools
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS support at scale
• Current TS/SCI security clearance (with polygraph eligibility) or above

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain a classified development environment in AWS Secret Cloud region
• Monitor system health; apply routine patching and updates across hosted services
• Administer GitLab repository: user access, pipelines, version control
• Support lab connectivity, network switch config, KVM architecture, and developer workstations
