Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a System Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate scalable security services for ADC regions. You will collaborate with internal teams, develop automation, and improve health and reliability of critical infrastructure.

The role requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and offers opportunities to mentor peers, drive secure engineering practices, and contribute to enterprise-scale security improvements across AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP required.
• Experience programming with multiple modern languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• 2+ years designing or architecting complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable security solutions across thousands of devices in ADC regions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues across multiple languages.
• Develop tools, automated workflows, and monitoring to reduce toil and improve operational excellence.
• Conduct deep-dive troubleshooting and post-mortems to identify root causes of complex issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud infrastructure maintenance and customer experiences.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and engineering excellence.
