Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a System Development Engineer to design and deliver scalable, resilient systems that improve operational health and reduce complexity. You will own engineering and write clear documentation while coaching others to reduce risk.

Role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and willingness to obtain agency-specific clearance for AWS work. You will work with teams to improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Ruby, Golang, C#).
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technology solutions that solve business problems, thoroughly tested and cost-effective.
• Improve operational health through design reviews and post-incident analyses.
• Diagnose and resolve root causes across hardware, software, and environments.
• Automate tasks, develop monitoring, and reduce operational burden.
