Job summary
Northrop Grumman Rolling Meadows, IL site is seeking a Systems Design Engineer/Principal Systems Design Engineer. You will coordinate across disciplines to define system requirements, use MBSE methods, and work with DOORS to generate specifications and verification artifacts.
The role is on-site in Rolling Meadows, requires US Citizenship, and a Secret clearance. Senior candidates may join at Principal level with related experience.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of related experience or MS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Experience decomposing requirements for DoD-based platforms or systems
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations
- Working knowledge of DOORS and MBSE tools (Cameo, SysML)
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure system requirements and design are well defined
- Guide system design decisions and support trade studies
- Work with MBSE models and DOORS databases to update specifications and VCRM
