Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Ocean Springs, Mississippi seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead requirements development, system integration, and MBSE activities.

You will work with DOORS, VCRM, ICDs, and interface management to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications, while coordinating reviews with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience or higher degrees with fewer years
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with requirements and interface management
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents (ICD, VCRM)
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses
• Support translation of customer requirements into hardware/software specifications
• Perform functional and timeline analyses and interface definitions
• Generate and maintain DOORS-based system/sub-system specifications and VCRM
• Update system drawings and documents (ICDs, interface drawings)
• Coordinate and participate in internal/external reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR)
• Support MBSE products and model-based engineering activities
