Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH, seeks a Systems Architect to steer connector product roadmaps and align system-level requirements with design teams.

You will lead architectural design for high-speed backplane connectors, engage hyperscale and AI/ML accounts, and present technical strategies to executives. Travel may be required; strong collaboration across engineering and product groups is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) desirable for the role.
• 10+ years of hardware/interconnect experience in IT/Datacom environments.
• Background in electronic engineering (signal transmission, EMI/EMC) and/or mechanical engineering (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD tools).

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving high-speed backplane connectors.
• Serve as the technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system-level requirements into connector architecture direction.
• Guide the HSBP product roadmap in coordination with SI engineering, mechanical design, and product management.
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to key stakeholders.
• Provide advanced technical support on backplane interconnect issues raised by customers or internal teams.
• Devise and communicate differentiation strategy for HSBP products.
• Partner with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative across Amphenol's interconnect portfolio.
• Some travel required.
