Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Systems Architect in Valley Green, PA to lead system-level connector designs and roadmaps for high-speed backplane solutions.

You will translate customer requirements into connector architectures, present to executives, and collaborate across engineering, mechanical design, and product management to meet standards and timelines. Travel involved.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) highly desirable.
Experience with hardware and interconnect solutions in IT/Datacom.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and technical strategy for high-speed backplane connectors.
Serve as technical face of HSBP for hyperscale and AI/ML accounts.
Guide product roadmap with SI engineering and product management.
Ensure alignment with IEEE 802.3dj and OIF CEI standards and timelines.
Deliver high-level technical presentations to executives and leadership.
Provide advanced technical support on backplane interconnect problems.
Differentiate HSBP products from competitors’ solutions.
Collaborate with other units to maintain a consistent system narrative.
