Job summary

The City of Billings is seeking a Systems Analyst to perform a variety of professional and technical duties involved in understanding and analyzing the needs of the departments/end-users.

This role includes project management, software selection and implementation, database health, and data integration to support analytics and reporting across departments. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on-site in Billings, MT. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Four (4) year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or equivalent technology program.
• Two (2) years' work experience in project management, planning system implementations & integrations to existing systems, software systems/end-user support, software development, database management, and/or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server including building application interfaces, data management, queries, scripting, and reporting.
• Must be able to pass a State and Federal criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management services for IT initiatives.
• Select, implement, and support enterprise application software solutions.
• Perform application programming and testing, building, and supporting system integrations.
• Establish and maintain vendor/partner relationships and support security and hosting needs.
• Develop and support data interfaces for analytics and reporting.
• Train users and assist with system transitions and workflow procedures.
